One of the television greats from WWP's childhood, Captain Kangaroo, died today. WWP fondly recalls watching the oddly coiffed, strangly clad captain on the old Hoffmann black-and-white TV in the basement. The Treasure House and its guests were a part of WWP's day while growing up: lovable Bunny Rabbit, Mr. Moose, Grandfather Clock (weird, but not scary), and of course, the friendly Mr. Green Jeans. Along with Mister Rogers, there must be some incredible children's programming going on upstairs right about now.
